This month we invited Charlie Wang from Tribal DDB to share his experience in Social Media Campagine Planning in China.
Originally from Beijing, Charlie is currently the Technical Director for Tribal DDB Hong Kong. He has experiences in both the U.S. and mainland China covering IT consulting and digital advertising industries. He has a passion for data and aims to inject more data-driven marketing within the ad agency world. Prior to Charlie’s current role, he worked as the Data Analytics Director for a Beijing local agency Bizcom Consulting, focusing mainly on digital analytics for automotive and IT clients. He also spend a large portion of his career as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Deloitte Consulting U.S., focusing on datawarehouse implementations for the U.S. government. He is heavily involved in the Beijing tech and startup scene, and loves the chaos/fragmentation of the Chinese social media landscape.
The social media landscape between the Hong Kong and the west is drasticaly different than mainland China. The differences doesn’t just stop at channel variety, but also campaign execution tactics. However, one thing that remains the same is still measurement tactics for achieving conversion ROI. This month we will share a “personal” campaign case study involving both traditional media and digital. We will specifically talk about using IWOM (Internet Word of Mouth) to amplify the buzz around your campaign. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
